The flavor was good. The fresh white peaches and cool whip were good. My only wish is that the cake was not so dense. I would prefer it to be a little more light and fluffy. Nevertheless, a nice addition for Sunday brunch today!

ReplyDeleteOh man that cool whip is killing me - makes me want to go to my kitchen and whip some cream immediately :) I thought it was a bit dense too but I really liked the flavor. It looks terrific!
ReplyDeleteYep I agree with you it needed to be more moist. I was bummed that it was so dry.I ended up pouring some choke cherry jam over the top and eating it that way. It was great!
ReplyDeleteWhipped Cream, what a great idea. Mine wasn't as moist as I would have liked, although I did a lemon syrup over it and that helped.

ReplyDeleteI love the addition of peaches with poundcake. I don't think I've ever had that combo before. I agree with you about dense cakes. Paula's chocolate chip pound cake was very dense also and it was good, but not great. Light and fluffy is much better : )
